Soft tissue therapy
Soft tissue therapy can treat a wide number of ailments, such as backaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, knee issues, tennis elbow, shoulder pains and more.
Dr. Kelli has been extensively trained in Active Release Technique, Graston, Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab, Cupping, Functional Dry Needling, and Post Isometric Rehabilitation. These soft tissue therapies address issues/pain within the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and fascia in different ways. All these therapies have proven to offer quicker healing as patients recover – and maintain – full body motions. These therapies are effective for patients with acute and chronic conditions.
You may have scar tissue caused by repetitive micro tears or injuries that have caused you to have pain. Postural imbalances and repetitive motions can also lead to certain muscle groups over working. When big muscle groups take over and/or core and glutes are not doing their job. This can create problems at the joint whether it be restrictions that need adjustments or instability that needs rehabilitation. Manual therapies can help to reduce the tension or break up scar tissue.
